You misunderstand. It’s true I chose not to feel anything upon realizing that my own life was ending. When Admiral Pike was dying I joined with his consciousness. I had experienced what he felt the moment of his passing- anger, confusion, loneliness, fear. I had experienced those feelings before, multiplied exponentially the day my planet was destroyed. Such a feeling is something I choose never to experience again.

‘The leaves were long, the grass was green,
The hemlock-umbels tall and fair,
And in the glade a light was seen
Of stars in shadow shimmering.’

The sync for the second gif is really remarkable.
This is the greatest one yet.
Superb.
